Problem
How may baristas serve a cup of pourover anywhere in the store and create a theatrical atmosphere for customers?
Process
I worked on the early exploration phase of this project during my internship at Starbucks. My responsibility includes contributing concepts as well as help defining Starbucks hardware language. The pour-over stand not only serve as a tool, it is also part of the customer experience and the showmanship of a barista. We wanted to create a clean visual presence yet celebrates the process of making pour-over coffee.
Solution
My exploration revolved around the idea of creating a mobile piece. It is something that a barista can easily carry between the front bar and the kitchen sink. I proposed two concepts.
